What makes a good story?

A good story is a story that easily makes the reader visualize and feel like they've been brought into a new world. It is also when the reader starts to sympathize and feel for the characters in the story; as if they're the characters themselves or they actually exist in real life.

A good story has a good plot line; utilizing the 3 act structure. They also have good hooks. Characters are distinctive and have personalities & motives of their own, and when two characters are opposites, conflicts are sparked which often make the story more interesting.|
